Pioneer Baseball finally defended the home turf at Pioneer Park earlier this afternoon kickstarting their three-game series against Bacone College. Contest was scheduled to be a 9-inning game, but the Pioneers summoned the bats to defeat the Warriors in 7 innings by run rule.
It was a crisp 61 degrees Fahrenheit at Pioneer Park when senior Corby Seib hurled the opening pitch of the series. The Warriors entered today's contest looking for their first season win and showed promise as the three-hole hitter rocketed a 2-run shot to left field off a Seib fastball that was left over the heart of the plate.
