The Pioneers took an early lead over the Warriors by opening the game with a 9-0 run. Hunter Gibson led the way with 9 points while Reigiana Ward and Brinley Morgan both collected 3 defensive rebounds this quarter helping the Pioneers hold the lead. Quarter two seemed to be where the Warriors did their damage. Despite CRC creating its biggest lead of the game in this quarter, 11 points at the 7:09 mark, the Warriors nailed 6 three-pointers, cutting the lead the Pioneers had down to just one. Bacone mustered 4 of these in the last four minutes before the half. Pioneers enter the break up 36-35. The Pioneers third quarter opened up with the Warriors retaking the lead at the 9:25 mark with a score of 36-37. For the majority of the quarter, it would be a one-possession game back and forth. What would give worry to the Pioneer Nation would be a 5-0 run by Bacone at the 3:03 mark that forced a CRC Time out. When play resumed the Pioneers rallied a 5-0 of their own, ending it with a three-pointer from Brinley Morgan retaking the lead at the 1:32 mark, 48-47. CRC would end the quarter up one 52-51 with Hunter Gibson grabbing the last basket. As the last quarter chugged along it truly became a head-turner as each team seemed to lose and then retake the lead after each basket. What would stamp the seal for the team in green would be Reigiana Ward drawing the foul at the 11-second mark with the game all knotted up at 66-66. Ward then proceed to go 1-2 from the line giving the Pioneers the lead that they needed as the Warriors were unable to score as the clock expired. Pioneers take the win with a 67-66 victory.
