Manages work orders after they are opened through completion for location. Prepares and manages work orders to ensure technicians have work in front of them. Drives for consistency in work order quality. Works with location service managers to ensure the timely complete of repairs.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Manages work orders after they are open and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced
- Ensures locations are using job codes in the work order opening process
- Provides coaching to technicians and location service managers to ensure high quality work orders
- Maintains service department filings and records and service library with current information (for example, files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under the direct supervision of the
Service Manager
- Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders
May prepare Service Technician labor performance, productivity, and efficiency reports
- May process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-up
- May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
