ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE - PARAGOULD LOCAL OFFICE: 10+ Year Member Spotlight: Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation

The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation was established in 2000 by six businessmen in Little Rock who had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and were finding only limited information on it and treatment options. Today the foundation has four paid full time staff members, an advisory board and a Board of Directors. They provide services such as a medical navigator and a library on prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment options available. They also participate in local health fairs, have support groups, and educate others on prostate cancer.
