Game one
CRC- 0
UHSP- 3
Crowley's Ridge would lead set one with their best foot forward. After having a few days rest, CRC seemed to get into the groove of things early. Several Lady Pioneers found the holes in the defense with freshmen Bianna South leading the way with 4 kills in a 10 kill effort in set one. This would almost ensure the win, but UHSP would muster a 14 kill effort just besting the Lady Pioneers in set one 25-20.
Set two, the Lady Pioneers would strike first jumping ahead 10-6, forcing a UHSP timeout. When play resumed, the hosting team would go on a 10-1 run reclaiming the lead with help from 3 service aces and 4 kills that found the gaps in CRC's defense. UHSP again reached double digits in kills. Totaling 12 kills compared to a 5 kill effort by CRC helping them take the second set 25-18.
Set three, CRC would look to answer being down two sets to none but wouldn't be able to overcome the deficit. The Lady Pioneers would fight hard with help from sophomore Jadyn Hesse setting up juniors Emi Elms and Brooklynn Passmore on the outside that kept the pressure on UHSP. The score was neck and neck with CRC trailing by one at a score of 17-18 when UHSP would turn on the afterburners and pull away going on a 7-1 run to take the match with a score of 25-18 defeating the Pioneers in straight sets.
