BUFFALO ISLAND CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL: Candy Gram Substitution Announcement

Announcement

Buffalo Island Central High School issued the following announcement on Feb. 3.

The junior class sponsors have been made aware that BIC Elementary is a peanut and peanut butter free school due to allergy concerns. We cannot deliver candy with nuts or peanut butter to the Elementary.

Due to this concern, we will be changing the FIVE DOLLAR option for both school buildings. The FIVE DOLLAR option will now offer a candy gram card, a Hershey’s bar, a sucker, a 3 Musketeers bar, and a slim jim. We will not have any peanut or peanut products in any of our candy grams.

This change only affects the products available in the FIVE DOLLAR option.

We apologize for the inconvenience and any disappointment this decision may bring. We will honor all current purchases of the FIVE DOLLAR options with the above substitutions. If you have purchased the FIVE DOLLAR option and are not satisfied with the substitutions, please contact Mrs. Wren at the high school (ext. 222 or katherine.wren@bicschools.net) for a refund on your FIVE DOLLAR option purchase.

The safety and health of all students is our primary concern. We thank you for your understanding and continued support of the junior class.
