St. Mary Church – Paragould issued the following announcement on Jan. 9.
There has been a bit of confusion with the Youth Ministry Office's announcement to cancel their youth "Weekend for Life" event. This youth overnight event has been cancelled out of concern for the health and safety of all participants. However, the Sunday events sponsored by the Respect Life Office and also by Arkansas Right to Life are NOT cancelled. The adult Hearts for Life Conference on Sat. Jan. 15 has not been cancelled. Bishop Taylor will preside at the celebration of the Mass for Life at noon on Sunday January 16 in the Wally Allen Ballroom of the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown LR. Before the Mass for Life, there will be a Eucharistic Procession beginning at 10:00 am from the Plaza in front of the DoubleTree Hotel to the Statehouse. We will also have Adoration and pray a Rosary for Life before mass begins. Arkansas Right to Life's March for Life will take place as planned at 2pm at the State Capitol. All these Sunday Jan. 16 PRO-LIFE events are free and are still happening. There is plenty of room to maintain physical distance for Covid safety. Masks will be available. Everyone is welcome!
