St. John Newman University Parish – Jonesboro issued the following announcement on Oct. 25.
Catholic Charities of Arkansas (CCA) is resettling at least 49 Afghan refugees who began arriving in Little Rock in October. More are expected. Beyond the assistance from the federal government and U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, donations are still needed to cover the remaining expenses. All donations go directly to serve the needs of Afghan refugees. Please give to help our brothers and sisters in need.
