City of Jonesboro issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
Lloyd Wofford, a Jonesboro resident active in the aviation community, was surprised at today’s meeting of the Arkansas Aeronautics Commission with what the Federal Aviation Administration calls its highest honor: the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award.
To be eligible for the award, a nominee must have 50 years of combined experience in both piloting and aircraft maintenance.
Jonesboro is proud of Lloyd, his wife Linda, and their commitment and service to their hometown.
