Crowley's Ridge College issued the following announcement on Aug. 5.
If your congregation participated in CRC DAY and needs someone from CRC to pick up the total collected, please let us know – rjohnson@crc.edu or 870-236-6901.
If your congregation was not able to help with CRC DAY yet this year, there is still time to participate. Simply choose any convenient Sunday for your congregation. Remember, 100% of the funds for CRC DAY will be used to help meet CRC’s Bible department expenses, which includes these areas:
1. Bible major student scholarships - CRC provides a 100% tuition discount to encourage more Bible majors to enroll and pursue careers in ministry. Many churches tell us it is harder to find ministers than it used to be and we hope these scholarships to quality Bible students help lessen this problem.
2. Church-related scholarships – for students whose parents work in various ministry roles in churches, Christian schools, colleges, childcare agencies, or for students who grew up in foster or in residential care.
3. Preacher training and Bible teaching – paying qualified Bible faculty to teach our Bible major students and providing solid Bible teaching and classes to the entire student body.
4. Bible educational materials – A variety of teaching/preaching materials are furnished annually to our Bible major students.
5. Restoration, missions, and other field trips – help our Bible major students understand our Christian heritage and consider a career from numerous other ministry opportunities.
6. Annual Bible Lectureship – CRC does not charge for this excellent lectureship series that we open up to churches, students, and the community. We do have Lectureship expenses, including paying speakers and furnishing some overnight accommodations.
7. Wedding Enrichment Workshop – Oct 22-23, 2021 at CRC for those engaged, newlyweds, in seasoned marriage, and those in either healthy or troubled marriages. This new opportunity is to increase our service to the Christian community, which is part of our presidential vision and strategic plan, Thrive 2025. We want to help families have strong Christian marriages.
8. Campus Ministry, the Ridge Connection – July 1, 2020, we hired an experienced campus minister to lead this full-time ministry at CRC. Grayson Taylor, and his wife, Amanda, and son, Shepherd have done an amazing job connecting with our students. Grayson’s leadership in the Ridge Connection is already very obvious with the fellowship activities, Bible studies, service projects, and relationship building that has resulted since he joined our ministry team as he connects with students and teaches them about Jesus.
