Rep. Rick Crawford, who has represented Arkansas’s 1st District in the U.S. Congress since 2011, used his social media platform to highlight recent community and legislative developments related to agriculture and local sports.
On December 8, 2025, Crawford posted about participating in a concert event aimed at supporting farmers. He wrote, “Proud to hit the stage this past Saturday at the ‘Harvest for Hope’ concert in Keo, Arkansas! Great crowd, and most importantly, an opportunity to raise awareness for the crisis our farmers are facing. Arkansas ag feeds America, but right now too many of our farmers are hurting”.
Later that day, he congratulated a local high school football team on their achievement: “Congratulations to the Cedar Ridge Timberwolves on capping off a historic season and bringing home the school’s first-ever 8-Man Football State Championship! So proud of you guys! #AR01Strong”.
On December 9, Crawford addressed federal support measures for farmers. He posted: “Thank you President Trump for listening to America’s farmers, and taking decisive action to provide some immediate relief. This emergency aid package in conjunction with the relief measures Republicans passed in the Tax Cuts for Working Families Act and my Bridge the Gap bill”.
Crawford has consistently advocated for agricultural issues during his tenure in Congress. Born in Homestead Air Force Base, Florida in 1966 and currently residing in Jonesboro, he earned a BS from Arkansas State University in 1996. He succeeded Marion Berry as representative of Arkansas’s 1st District beginning in 2011.
