Rep. Rick Crawford, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 1st district since 2011, has recently used his social media platform to comment on the Iranian regime and meet with members of the Arkansas National Guard in Washington, D.C.
On January 12, 2026, Crawford posted: “The blood on the hands of this Iranian regime is incalculable. The United States should be taking this opportunity to support the brave Iranian people fighting for their freedom.”
A day later, on January 13, he shared his experience meeting with service members: “It was an honor to meet with members of the @ARNationalGuard in Logan Circle this morning. These brave Arkansans are working day and night to help keep our nation’s capital safe. My staff and I are truly grateful for their presence here in the city.”
On January 14, Crawford commented further on U.S.-Iran relations: “President Trump has been very clear in his warning to the Iranian regime about its deadly response to the Iranian protestors. What is happening to the Iranian people, who are fighting for their freedom, is borderline genocide, and there should be more outrage on an international”
Crawford has represented Arkansas’s 1st District since replacing Marion Berry in 2011. He was born at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida in 1966 and currently resides in Jonesboro. In addition to his congressional work, he graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996.
