Rep. Rick Crawford, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 1st district since 2011, recently shared several statements on social media addressing foreign policy, military funding, and the ongoing farm crisis.
On October 9, 2025, Crawford expressed support for former President Trump’s actions regarding hostages and Israel: “I am grateful for President Trump’s stalwart effort to bring all the hostages home, while honoring our nation’s enduring support for the nation of Israel.”
Later that day, he criticized Democratic lawmakers in relation to military pay: “For Democrats, playing political games with Americans’ livelihood is more important than making sure our troops are paid as they continue to show up every day and make incredible sacrifices to keep us safe. Democrats’ true colors are showing.”
On October 10, 2025, Crawford addressed agricultural issues affecting his constituency: “Crushed under the current farm crisis, we have already lost farmers, and without action we are on the precipice of losing many more. To bridge the gap for our farmers, until the full benefits of the Working Families Tax Cut Act kick in, @RepJuliaLetlow and I introduced the Bridge”
Crawford has represented Arkansas’s 1st District since succeeding Marion Berry in 2011. Born at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida in 1966 and currently residing in Jonesboro, he graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996.
