Rep. Rick Crawford, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’s 1st district since 2011, publicly praised U.S. law enforcement, military, and intelligence personnel for their roles in the arrest of Nicolas Maduro in a series of posts on January 3 and 4, 2026.

On January 3, Crawford posted: “First, I want to commend the incredible U.S. law enforcement, military, and intelligence professionals involved in this morning’s raid to arrest Nicolas Maduro. Once again, they have shown themselves to be the best in the world.

This is a historic day in the Western Hemisphere,” (January 3, 2026).

Later that day he added: “America is safer today because we have a President who cares enough to engage in these types of operations to protect the American people and our Western Hemisphere neighborhood.” (January 3, 2026).

The following afternoon Crawford continued his commentary: “The safety and security of the United States depends on the safety and security of our Western Hemisphere neighborhood. America cannot be the safest house in a dangerous neighborhood.” (January 4, 2026).

Rick Crawford has represented Arkansas’s 1st District since replacing Marion Berry in Congress in 2011. He was born at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida in 1966 and currently resides in Jonesboro. Crawford earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University in 1996.
