Rep. Rick Crawford, who represents Arkansas’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on social media acknowledging key figures and developments in national security and intelligence oversight.
On October 16, 2025, Crawford expressed gratitude to a military leader: “Thank you Admiral Holsey for your honorable and dedicated service to our nation.”
The following day, he congratulated a newly sworn-in Inspector General: “Congratulations to @ICIGFox on his swearing in as the IC IG. We look forward to working with him as we on @HouseIntel continue to carry out our Constitutionally mandated oversight responsibility to ensure the IC is working in the best interest of U.S. national security and the” (October 17, 2025).
Later that same day, Crawford commented on counterintelligence efforts by federal agencies: “This is a strong move by @DeptofWar and @USArmy to shift into a more proactive counterintelligence posture. A move like this, in collaboration with @HouseIntel’s SECURE Act, would begin to put the U.S. on the appropriate footing to get out ahead of the threats facing the United” (October 17, 2025).
Crawford has represented Arkansas’s 1st District since replacing Marion Berry in 2011. He was born at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida in 1966 and currently resides in Jonesboro. Crawford earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University in 1996.
