Rep. Rick Crawford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas’ 1st district, recently expressed his views on social media regarding several pertinent issues. Crawford has been a member of Congress since 2011, succeeding Marion Berry. He was born in Homestead Air Force Base, Florida in 1966 and now resides in Jonesboro.
On July 3, 2025, Rep. Crawford criticized the CIA’s self-review of its 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian Election Interference. He stated that “The CIA’s self-review of its 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian Election Interference falls FAR SHORT of the full truth.” Crawford described the memo as containing “half-truths, inaccuracies, and blatant omissions.”
Later that day, he highlighted his commitment to addressing analytic integrity within the House Intelligence Committee. In his words: “When I became Chair of @HouseIntel, I swore we would address analytic integrity and start holding those who refuse to do the right thing accountable.” He emphasized his determination not to let the committee contribute to existing problems within parts of the intelligence community.
On July 4th, Crawford shared a message celebrating American independence: “Today we celebrate 249 years of American independence and freedom.” He paid tribute to those who have defended these freedoms and wished everyone a safe Fourth of July.
Rick Crawford graduated from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
