Rep. Rick Crawford, U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 1st district since 2011, recently addressed several national issues and events through a series of posts on his social media account.
On November 4, 2025, Crawford urged Senate Democrats to take legislative action regarding the ongoing government shutdown. He stated, “Today, Senate Democrats will have the 14th chance to do the right thing and pass the CLEAN CR to reopen the federal government, reinstate SNAP benefits, and pay our troops and air traffic controllers.”
Later that same day, he commented on the passing of former Vice President Dick Cheney. In his post dated November 4, 2025, Crawford wrote: “Today, we remember and honor Vice President Cheney’s many years of dedicated service to our nation. I offer his family my deepest condolences. May he rest in peace.”
On November 6, 2025, Crawford expressed support for actions taken by former President Donald Trump against narcoterrorist groups. He posted: “President Trump’s decisive actions against these narcoterrorists will serve as a deterrence to all those seeking to do harm to the U.S. and our Western Hemisphere neighborhood. He has sent a strong message that the U.S. is not playing around.”
Crawford was born in Homestead Air Force Base, Florida in 1966 and currently resides in Jonesboro at age 57. He graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996.
