Rep. Rick Crawford, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 1st district since 2011, posted several messages on his social media account in late August 2025 addressing public safety, honoring fallen servicemembers, and commenting on intelligence agency reforms.
On August 25, Crawford wrote: “We are praying that everyone stays safe and for our first responders as they manage this situation. If you are in the area, please follow all safety alerts.”
The following day, he commemorated the anniversary of a significant event involving U.S. military personnel: “Today, we remember the 13 brave servicemembers who lost their lives at Abbey Gate four years ago while carrying out their mission under impossibly difficult circumstances in Afghanistan.
We will never forget. We are a nation indebted to them for their service.” (August 26).
Later on August 26, Crawford addressed concerns about the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), stating: “.@ODNIgov was never meant to be a bloated organization plagued by redundancies, inefficiencies, and waste.
@DNIGabbard’s ODNI 2.0 initiative will take the first step to return the critical intelligence agency to its original national security mission.”
Crawford has served in Congress since replacing Marion Berry in 2011 and currently resides in Jonesboro. He was born at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida in 1966 and graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996.
