Rep. Rick Crawford, U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’s 1st district since 2011, recently addressed issues related to national security and the trucking industry in a series of posts on his Twitter account.

On July 14, 2025, Crawford commented on concerns regarding Spain’s handling of sensitive data, stating: “This headline is almost unimaginable. Later that day, he highlighted legislative efforts aimed at improving safety within Arkansas’s trucking sector. On July 14, 2025, he wrote: “Arkansas’s trucking industry relies on safe and efficient policies that keep our roads safe for all those who use them. Today, I introduced the ‘Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Public Safety Improvement Act,’ which will address a long-overdue HHS testing delay and create a more”.

On July 16, 2025, Crawford continued to focus on transportation infrastructure by raising concerns about progress on electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and suggesting a reallocation of federal funds. He posted: “Adequate and safe parking is a top priority for our nation’s trucking industry, which is the backbone of U.S. commerce. With little to no progress made on the EV charging stations, I encouraged @SecDuffy to consider redirecting the $7.5B for EV infrastructure to support truck https://t.co/S44qMWK9mQ”.

Crawford has represented Arkansas’s 1st district in Congress since replacing Marion Berry in 2011. Born in Homestead Air Force Base, Florida in 1966 and currently residing in Jonesboro, he graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996.
