Rep. Rick Crawford, who represents Arkansas’s 1st congressional district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on his social media accounts addressing recent events in international relations and agriculture policy.
On October 13, 2025, Crawford expressed his support for recent developments in the Middle East, stating, “Today is an incredible day for Israel and the Middle East region. Thank you @POTUS!”
Turning to domestic issues, Crawford highlighted his engagement with local agriculture stakeholders in a post on October 14, 2025. He wrote, “Last week, I met with some rice farmers in AR-01 to hear more from them about the challenges they are facing in the middle of this farm crisis. As a member of @HouseAgGOP, I am committed to working with the Trump Administration to get immediate relief to our farmers.”
Later that day, Crawford detailed legislative efforts aimed at providing financial relief for producers. He stated, “My bill provides farmers the option to receive a 50% advanced PLC or ARC payment by years end to provide producers and lenders more confidence in making deals on operating loans for next season. Taking this advanced payment is not required. It also suspends payment limitations.”
Crawford has represented Arkansas’s 1st District since 2011, succeeding Marion Berry. He was born in 1966 at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida and currently resides in Jonesboro. He graduated from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
