Rep. Rick Crawford, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas’ 1st district since 2011, recently addressed several national and international issues on his social media account.
On October 1, 2025, Crawford expressed concern for agricultural communities in his district, stating, “U.S. farmers, many in my district, are in crisis and need help. I am grateful for President Trump’s engagement on this issue and commitment to fight for our local farmers, prioritize U.S. agriculture, and protect U.S. interests.”
Later that day, he commented on ongoing federal budget negotiations by posting: “We are headed into Day 2 of the Democrat shutdown. Senate Democrats had the chance to do the right thing again today and vote to fund the government but instead they continue to try and force their radical agenda on Americans, as American troops go unpaid for another day.” This statement was made during a period when partisan disagreements in Congress led to a temporary halt in government funding.
On October 2, 2025, Crawford addressed an incident overseas involving a religious site: “Today’s sickening attack on the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester on the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people is cowardly and appalling. My thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of all affected. It is infuriating that we need to reiterate”
Crawford has served as Arkansas’s 1st District representative since succeeding Marion Berry in 2011. Born at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida in 1966 and currently residing in Jonesboro, Crawford earned his bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University in 1996.
