Rep. Rick Crawford, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 1st district since 2011, has recently posted a series of updates on his social media account, addressing legislative actions in Congress, the anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, and local economic developments in Arkansas.
On October 6, 2025, Crawford described recent legislative proceedings in the House, stating, “It’s very simple. The House passed a CLEAN 7-week funding measure (CR) with NO policy ‘riders’ or changes to policy in it. ️Democrats have voted 13 times in the past for a CR with NO policy ‘riders’ or changes. On September 30, 2025, Democrats decided that they now want”.
The following day, October 7, 2025, Crawford marked the second anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel, writing, “Two years ago today, Hamas terrorists carried out the most heinous and gruesome attack on Israel and the Jewish people since the Holocaust. These inhumane terrorists paraded deceased Israelis around like animals and took hundreds more hostage, many who died in captivity and some”.
On October 8, 2025, Crawford highlighted local economic progress, sharing, “I had the opportunity to attend the ribbon-cutting of Lifeplus in Batesville, AR. The opening of this new business will be integral in boosting local economic growth and creating jobs in downtown Batesville.”
Crawford, born in 1966 at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida and now residing in Jonesboro, Arkansas, graduated from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He succeeded Marion Berry in Congress and has since been an active participant in legislative matters affecting both his district and national policy.
