WASHINGTON – One year ago on June 24, in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the Supreme Court ruled that there is no constitutional right to abortion, and returned to the people and their elected representatives the authority to regulate the protection of unborn children. Roe v. Wade was overturned.

“I am very glad that on June 24, I get to stand with my constituents in the First District of Arkansas and celebrate one year since the overturning of Roe v. Wade,” said Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01). “I am an ardent believer in the sanctity of innocent human life, and in my time in Congress, I have consistently supported pro-life legislation to protect the lives of those who cannot protect themselves.”

He added: “The Dobbs decision is already saving lives in Arkansas, and many other states. But the battle for life continues, and that means winning hearts and minds, and providing support to mothers and their babies.”

This year, Rep. Crawford has cosponsored several pro-life bills, including the Life at Conception Act, the Heartbeat Protection Act, and the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.
