Arkansas State University senior catcher Kaden Amundson was named to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Midseason Watchlist, according to an April 1 announcement.

This recognition highlights Amundson’s performance so far in the season. The award honors top collegiate catchers across the nation and being included on the watchlist signals that Amundson is among those considered for this distinction.

Amundson recently contributed to a series victory against James Madison University, hitting his second home run of the season. He has recorded seven runs batted in and scored 14 runs this year. Currently, he holds a .250 batting average and ranks seventh in strikeout rate (8.9%) among qualified hitters in the Sun Belt Conference.

Amundson is scheduled to return with Arkansas State for their upcoming conference series at Troy, beginning Thursday, April 2 at 6 p.m.
