Four student-athletes from the Arkansas State University women’s tennis team were named to the 2026 Academic All-District team, according to a May 12 announcement by the College Sports Communicators.
The recognition was awarded to Lilly Cvanciger, Anna Grigoreva, Hanmare McAslin, and Sarah Millard. Cvanciger holds a 4.0 grade point average in Exercise Science. Grigoreva has a GPA of 3.91 in Business Management, McAslin maintains a GPA of 3.87 in Exercise Science, and Millard has a GPA of 3.97 in Psychology.
A-State head coach Sujay Lama said, “Academic excellence is a cornerstone of our program, and I’m incredibly proud of how our team continues to prioritize success in the classroom alongside competition.” Lama continued, “Having these four student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-District honors is a testament to their discipline, commitment, and character. They represent exactly what we want this program to stand for—excellence in every aspect.”
Eligibility for the award requires that student-athletes be at least sophomores both academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50, and participate in at least seventy-five percent of their institution’s competitions.
The Arkansas State women’s tennis team recently achieved UTR NIT Champions status and posted a team GPA of 3.872 during the spring semester for an academic year cumulative GPA of 3.876.
