While Entergy is working to restore power to area homes please remember to turn off electrical appliances such as heaters and stoves. This is especially true if you are leaving your home to wait this out at another location.

In the 2000 ice storm residents where using these appliances when the power failed. They then left to stay with someone with power. When the power was restored those appliances came back on but with no one to tend to them. Several homes were lost to fire after power came back on.

While driving if you come to an intersection with a traffic light but no power please remember to treat it as a four-way stop and drive carefully.

Lastly with so many trees down drive carefully through curves.

Stay safe and warm.
