Junior Bo Roberson scored 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Pioneers of Crowley’s Ridge College to a 74-66 non-conference win over Ecclesia College.
CRC led by 10 points midway through the first half and took a 40-32 lead into halftime. Ecclesia College was able to keep the game within range as they depended on the three ball in the first half by making 6 of 17 from the three-point line. In the Second half, the Pioneer defense stepped up, defending the 3-point shooting offense from the Royals. The Pioneers were able to out-rebound the Royals, 46-34, in the game allowing the offense to capitalize, ultimately giving CRC the advantage.
Braxton Cousins added a double-double of his own on the afternoon with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Ardell Thompson sealed the Pioneer win with four made free throws in the final minute of the game.
