PIONEERS WIN HOME OPENER- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 11-5-22
Crowley’s Ridge College jumped out early and took the first half lead by as much as 16 with 6:20 to play before the half. CRC took a 37-29 lead into the break, thanks to 10 points from Alex Mero and a three pointer at the halftime buzzer.
CRC maintained their lead through the second half despite five second half three pointers from Harris Stowe and 10 total three balls in the contest for the Hornets. Harris-Stowe finished 10 of 28 from the three point line on the afternoon.
BJ Johnson led the Pioneer offense with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Bo Roberson added 14 points to the CRC column while collecting 6 steals in the contest. Alex Mero finished with 10 points for the afternoon.
Crowley’s Ridge College outscored the Hornets 20-4 in points off turnovers on the day.
