Crowley’s Ridge College issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.

Crowley’s Ridge College bucked 24 fourth-quarter points to come from behind to pick up their second victory against the Stephens (Mo.) College Stars in the opening game of the Manhattan Christian Classic.

CRC (2-0) opened with a 25-point first quarter before Stephens (0-1) answered with a 28-point second. At the break, the Stars led 46-37 after connecting on 10-11 free throws in the second quarter.

The Stars came out of the locker room fast to push their lead to 14 at 5:56 in the third quarter. Crowley’s Ridge would click on both sides of the ball at the right time, holding Stephens to a 4-20 final quarter from the floor, while scoring 24 points of their own to claim the 78-71 victory.

The Lady Pioneers were again led by Mickayla Smith, with the sophomore connecting for 19 points. Madison Sellars collected her second double-double by scoring 10 while rebounding 10. Lizzy Rowton chipped in with 13 points, while Lotti Hoffman added 10.
