Crowley’s Ridge College issued the following announcement on Mar. 14.
Crowley’s Ridge College senior Bobby Wright earned the Continental Athletic Conference baseball Player of the Week awards after having another strong week at the plate.
The Hitter of the Week had a .429 batting average after collecting six hits to extend his hitting streak to four straight games.
The utility player from Sikeston, Missouri, drove in a pair of runs in a 9-2 win at Ecclesia (Ark.) College last Wednesday. He had two hits in the first two games of the four-game series.
Wright has scored 15 runs and collected 17 hits on the season for the Pioneers.
