High school students in Arkansas’s First Congressional District are invited to participate in the 2025 Congressional App Challenge, according to an announcement from Congressman Rick Crawford. The competition encourages students to develop applications for computers or electronic devices and compete with peers nationwide.
The challenge is open to all high school students within the district. The winning student or team will receive Amazon Web Services credits and an invitation to attend the House of Code reception in Washington, D.C., scheduled for April. At this event, winners from across the country will be recognized. Additionally, their apps will be displayed on both the U.S. House of Representatives and Congressional App Challenge websites, as well as featured in an exhibit at the U.S. Capitol Building.
“Students interested in participating can find more information on the Congressional App Challenge website or contact Constituent Services Representative Elijah Fisher at elijah.fisher@mail.house.gov,” stated the announcement.
Rick Crawford has represented Arkansas’s 1st District in Congress since 2011, after succeeding Marion Berry. He was born in 1966 at Homestead Air Force Base, Florida, and currently resides in Jonesboro. Crawford earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University in 1996.
