CITY OF JONESBORO: Veterans Day Parade Held in Downtown Jonesboro

0Comments

It was a great morning for the annual Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Jonesboro as we honored those who have served our country. Following the parade was a ceremony featuring speakers including Mayor Harold Copenhaver, Craighead County Judge Marvin Day, U.S. Representative Rick Crawford, State Representative Johnny Rye, and with a keynote address by VFW Department Commander Jeffrey Byrd. Mayor Copenhaver stated that we need to remember veterans as a community, and thanked all former servicemen who call Jonesboro home. The City of Jonesboro thanks the Craighead County Veterans Monument Foundation and all other partners who work hard each year to put this event on.
