City of Jonesboro issued the following announcement on Nov. 10.
The following parking lots closed on the dates below for maintenance. Signs will be placed a couple days in advance informing residents of the closures.
Barricades will be placed the night before the closures.
Church St. /Cate Ave. – Wednesday, (Nov. 10)
Monroe in between Church St and East St – Friday, (Nov.11)
Main St./Monroe Ave. – Monday (Nov.15)

The Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning shooting on Tulot Road as domestic violence. Authorities say one person was hospitalized and another found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
