City of Jonesboro issued the following announcement on May 19.

Grant Harbison, the Band Director of Jonesboro High School, was honored for receiving the Milken Educator Award with a proclamation from Mayor Copenhaver at Tuesday nights City Council meeting. This $25,000 award is given to 60 early-to-mid career education professionals around the country for their already impressive achievements as well as what they will accomplish in the future.
